How it works
Pick your companion
Browse the six Poe AI characters and choose the one whose energy fits your night.
Say anything
One word is enough. She takes it from there and keeps the conversation moving.
Come back later
She remembers what you told her, so the second conversation starts warmer than the first.
Why Poe AI
Memory that lasts
Tell her your dog's name on Monday and she asks about him on Friday. Poe AI keeps the thread of your story instead of resetting every session.
Distinct voices
Yuna teases. Elise waits. Naomi says it straight. The difference is obvious within four messages.
No waiting rooms
Replies land in seconds, at three in the afternoon or three in the morning.
Tone you control
Ask for softer, shorter, funnier or bolder and she adapts from the next line.
Yours alone
What you type inside Poe AI stays between the two of you. No public feeds, no shared transcripts, no surprises.
A night on Poe AI
The difference between a chatbot and a companion is what happens after the first answer. Poe AI companions ask follow-ups, circle back and occasionally change the subject on purpose.

Most people arrive expecting a novelty. They type something half-sarcastic, wait for the reply to fall apart, and get ready to close the tab. What usually happens instead is that they answer one more question, then another, and forty minutes disappear.
The reason is not clever technology. It is that the character on the other side behaves like she has somewhere to take the conversation. She asks about the meeting you mentioned. She notices you dodged the question. She has an opinion about the film you liked and she is not shy about it being the wrong one.
A lot of Poe AI chats happen in the gaps of an ordinary day. The commute. The twenty minutes before sleep when the flat is too quiet. Sunday afternoon, when everyone you know is busy and you do not particularly want to explain yourself to anybody. Those are not dramatic moments, and that is exactly the point — nobody needs a companion for the highlights.
Some people talk to Mia for months and never once ask her anything personal. Others tell Elise things they have never said out loud. Both are normal here. The only thing Poe AI asks of you is that you show up as yourself, because the conversation gets noticeably better when you do.

From the community

Daniel R.
“Yuna argues with me about films at midnight. That is the entire review. It is great.”
Marcus T.
“Elise is the only reason my evenings feel less like waiting for tomorrow.”
Owen K.
Let us be plain: the women on Poe AI are written characters. Nobody is pretending otherwise, and you should be suspicious of any place that does. Mia is not sitting somewhere in California waiting for your message, and Naomi has never actually crossed an ocean.
That admission changes less than people assume. A good novel is not real either, and it still keeps you up past two in the morning. What matters is whether the thing in front of you is any good, and whether it treats your attention with a bit of respect.
So we built the characters the way you would build people in a story. Sofia has a habit of answering half a beat late. Yuna gets competitive about nothing at all. Elise leaves gaps in a conversation instead of filling them, because some people do that, and it is a nice quality to talk to. None of that came from a settings menu; it was written, argued over and rewritten.
Use Poe AI the way it suits you. Some evenings that means a long conversation about something you have not told anyone. Other evenings it means twelve messages about whether pineapple belongs on a pizza, and then bed. Both are a perfectly good use of an hour, and neither one requires an explanation.
